Kickhaefer’s Big Game Leads to KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week Honor

Butler baseball right-handed pitcher Caden Kickhaefer turned in a career-best performance as the Grizzlies defeated Seward 2-0 on Friday.
That outing led the sophomore from Salina, Kan., to be named the KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week.
Kickhaefer, the Grizzlies ace, turned in a career effort on Friday vs. Seward. He tossed a complete game 7.0 inning shutout helping the Grizzlies to a 2-0 series opening win. Kickhaefer struck out a career-high 10, walking just two and allowing only two hits.
On the season, Kickhaefer holds a 7-2 record with a 5.15 ERA. He has thrown 50.2 innings all in 11 games started.
