King named both the Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week

It is a tough task for anyone to do but AJ King was named both the KJCCC Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance last Saturday on the field.

AJ King, a sophomore wide receiver and return specialist from Wichita, KS, was huge for the Grizzlies Saturday in Butler's 50-49 overtime loss to No. 10-ranked Snow. King totaled an incredible 348 all-purpose yards in the loss to the Badgers.

Not only was he a threat downfield as a wide receiver but also as a kick and punt returner. King caught 11 passes for 158 yards with a long of 44-yards and touchdown. As a returner, King had two kick returns with an average of 44-yards per return with a long of 47. He had three punt returns on the day and took one to the house for 82-yards and a touchdown tying the game in the fourth quarter at 35-35. King's 82-yard punt return is the 5th longest in program history.

This marks three straight week's that Butler has had a Jayhawk Conference player of the week as King becomes the third Butler player to garnish the honor and first on offense and special teams.
