Boss Named KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week
COLBY, Kan. – Butler sophomore linebacker Landon Boss was named the KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Butler sophomore linebacker Landon Boss was named the KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Boss, a sophomore from Osage City, Kan., had a stellar performance in Butler's 21-14 loss to Snow College on Saturday in El Dorado.
Boss helped the Butler defense hold No. 3 ranked Snow College to a season-low 341 total yards and a season-low 21 points. He tallied a career-high 14 total tackles as well as a sack and a quarterback hurry. Boss flew around the field all afternoon. He exited early on with an injury but returned to the field and led the charge defensively for the Grizzlies.
The award marks the first time this season a Grizzly has come away with a weekly conference award.
Butler is off this week and returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12th, when they take on Highland at Porter Family Stadium at 1 p.m.
