Pruitt scores season high 25 points as Grizzlies pick up seventh straight win and 11th of the season

DeeJuan Pruitt led the Grizzlies to their seventh straight win this past weekend leading Butler past the Allen Red Devils 87-74.

"I was happy with how we played tonight," said head coach Kyle Fisher. "We showed more effort, energy and togetherness. We didn't always execute but we had our competitiveness with us tonight."

It was a tight game for much of the first half as the Grizzlies weren't able to open it up until the final minutes of the half where they took an eight-point lead heading into the break.

Butler opened it up in the second half on some hot shooting spreading to double digits early and maintaining the remainder of the game and winning by 13 points, 87-74.

Butler shot their highest shooting percentage on the season connecting on 59% of their shots and 60% from three-point range. They held the Red Devils to 41% on the night.

DeeJuan Pruitt led with a season high 25 points on 7-12 shooting. He was 3-5 from three and 8-9 from the free throw line. He had four assists and three rebounds. Noah Thomasson finished with 19 points in his 38 minutes and Treylon Payne was perfect from the floor going 6-6 with 16 points. He had five rebounds and two assists in his 32 minutes on the court. Shawn Hopkins chalked up 13 on the night with four rebounds.

NEXT UP: Butler (11-2, 9-2) is now tied for second in the KJCCC East with Cowley (9-4, 9-2) who lost at Coffeyville on Saturday night 107-85. They will face off against the Tigers on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30pm in Arkansas City, KS.
