DeeJuan Pruitt named KJCCC ‘Player of the Week’ for Week 7
Butler freshman DeeJuan Pruitt had a big week leading the Grizzlies to two more wins putting them tied for 2nd place in the tough KJCCC East and moving them up to No. 20 in the NJCAA DIV. I Men's Basketball National Poll.
Pruitt scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the mid-week game against Neosho County. He followed that performance up with a 25-point performance on the road at Allen on Saturday. Pruitt shot 56 percent from the floor, 50 percent from deep and 92 percent from the free-throw line on the week.
He is averaging 14.3 points per game this season and shooting 61 percent on the year and 56 percent from three.
Pruitt and the Grizzlies will have their hands full this week as they travel to No. 22 Cowley on Wednesday and play host to No. 2 Coffeyville on Saturday in the Power Plant.
