Butler Men's Basketball player Christian Richardson named to Juco Recruiting Fab 50 Freshman List

Story by Wyatt Ebersole

In what's been another fantastic season so far for the Butler Men's Basketball team, one freshman has been turning some heads at the national level for the Grizzlies this season.

Christian Richardson, the Grizzlies 7'0 center from Los Angeles, California appeared on Juco Recruiting's "Fab 50" Junior College Basmetball Freshman List, which is a list that highlights the 50 best juco men's basketball players from around the country. The players on this list are eligible to receive invites to potentially participate in the JUCO Showcase Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia on July 7th.

Richardson, who has only played in nine games for the Grizzlies this year, has carved himself out a nice role in the rotation as the Grizzlies big man off of the bench. He started his Grizzly career going 11/11 from the field over his first four games and he is currently averaging 3.4 points per game on an efficient 82.4 shooting percentage, while also averaging 2.0 rebounds per game for coach Kyle Fisher's group.

Richardson is already using his 7'0 frame to make some waves at the national level and he will be a player that will be fun to watch develop more the rest of this season.

The Butler Men are back in action on Saturday where they will host Cloud County at 4PM.
