Henderson begins his first year on staff with Butler Community College men's basketball ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Henderson is fresh off a playing career spending time at the NJCAA, NCAA and NAIA levels. Henderson played two seasons at Cowley College under current Grizzly head coach Eric Nitsche who was an assistant at Cowley.

2023-24 was Henderson's redshirt senior season as he capped his playing career off at Mid-America Christian University, an NAIA university located in Oklahoma City. He averaged 11.5 points per game to go with 2.3 assists per game. He shot at a 35% clip from distance helping MACU to a 24-9 overall record and a 17-5 conference finish. Henderson scored in double figures in 19 out of 33 games played.

He spent one season playing at the University of Central Missouri (NCAA D2) in 2022-23. Henderson averaged 11.7 points per game and 2.5 assists per game, playing in 28 games and starting 19.

Henderson played one season at The University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) during 2021-22. He was one of just three Skyhawks to play in all 30 games. He ranked 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference in three-point field goals made (1.7 per game) in league play and led the squad with 51 three-point field goals made while ranking second on the team with 61 assists. Henderson averaged 7.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds per contest. Posted double digits in the scoring column seven times (six times in OVC play).

Henderson started his collegiate career at KJCCC foe Cowley College where he played two seasons, 2019-20 and 2020-21. Henderson was an integral part of Cowley College’s record-setting season in 2020-21 as the Tigers finished as NJCAA national runner-up, matching the school’s best finish since the 1952-53 season. Playing for head coach Tommy DeSalme and assistant coach Eric Nitsche, Henderson helped Cowley to a 50-11 mark across his two seasons with a pair of Jayhawk Conference championships and their first Region 6 title in 64 years. He finished his Tiger career as the school’s 14th all-time leading scorer with 962 career points as Cowley led the country in scoring during his freshman season and ranked second nationally in that same category during his sophomore campaign. Averaged 16.4 points, a team-best 4.4 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore. Collected All-NJCAA Tournament honors after averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the four games in Hutchinson. Tossed in a team-high 21 points in the 2021 national championship game against Coffeyville and scored 22 points with a game-high seven assists to help Cowley erase a 25-point deficit in the Elite 8 round against top-seeded Mineral Area, who was previously unbeaten. Went off for a season-high 33 points (including a 7-of-12 performance from three-point land) in the NJCAA Tournament first round game against Trinity Valley. Had 12 games with at least 20 points as a sophomore and hit at least 3 three-pointers on 18 separate occasions (including an 8-of-11 effort from downtown at Butler on March 29). Averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest as a freshman, sinking 40.1 percent (95-for-237) of his three-point field goal attempts.

Henderson graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School in the Kansas City area. There he helped guide the Broncos to a 27-4 record and an appearance in the Missouri state tournament Final Four as a senior. He was named to the All-Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference first team after averaging 21.0 points per contest.

Henderson earned his bachelor's degree in business from Mid-America Christian in 2024.

He is the son of Michael Henderson and Patricia Hudson and has four siblings, Covell Hudson, Ashley Henderson, Marishae Henderson and Rushae White.
