Butler rolls over Northwest Tech, staying unbeaten at home

The Butler women stayed unbeaten at home while keeping Northwest Kansas Tech winless on the season in a 79-48 win at the Power Plant on Wednesday.

No. 11 Butler is now 7-0 at home after dominating the first half against the Mavericks. The Grizzlies sprinted out to an 8-0 lead to start the game, with six of those points on three layups from Awreona Ransom

Butler would lead 26-8 after one quarter and 46-14 at the half.

Butler slowed considerably in the second half, actually getting outscored 18-15 in the third quarter.

The Grizzlies put four in double figures scoring, led by 16 from Ransom. Camille Downs has four points, Kyla Callins scores 12 and Criste'On Waters scored 11. 

Butler improves to 12-1 overall and 4-1 in Jayhawk Conference play with the win. Northwest Tech is now 0-12 and 0-4 in conference. Butler is now off until traveling to Great Bend for a game against Barton on Saturday, Jan. 5.
