Grizzlies make it 11-straight with big road win over Pratt

For the 22nd straight time, the Butler women come out on top over the Pratt Beavers, this time in a 67-47 road win in Pratt.

The Grizzlies (5-0, 4-0), remain undefeated on the season and have now won 11-straight games dating back to last season where their last game was the Region VI Championship.

Tied for second in the NJCAA in defensive FG%, Butler held the Beavers to 28% from the floor and 18% from 3PT while forcing 21 turnovers in the contest.

Carissa Beck and Skyla Knight led the way for Butler with both of them scoring a game high 12 points. Beck, who scored a season high, was 4-8 from 3PT with five rebounds while Knight had two rebounds two steals and two assists. Kaylee Nero was the other Grizzly in double figures finishing with 11 points and five rebounds in her 19 minutes of play.

It was a slow start as Butler was unable to score the first four minutes of the game. They avoided the damage in the first and managed to take a 14-12 lead at the end of the quarter. A 12-0 run to start the second would also ignite the defense that allowed just seven points in the quarter giving Butler a 31-19 halftime lead. Butler had a 24-point third quarter that would essentially seal the game for the Grizzlies who maintained in the fourth and sailed to victory 67-47.
