EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler women's basketball took on the Tabor University JV squad on Tuesday at the Power Plant and routed the Bluejays, 104-48.
The game was the last game of the season against a non NJCAA opponent for Butler (2-0). They will take on NOC-Enid and NOC-Tonkawa this weekend at the Enid Classic in Enid, Oklahoma, on Friday and Saturday.
The Grizzlies held Tabor to just 32.1% shooting from the field while forcing 28 turnovers and scoring 44 points off the mistakes. Butler shot 64.3% from the field, outrebounded Tabor 46-19 and scored 76 of its 104 points in the paint.
Freddie Wallace led Butler with 25 points, shooting 12-14 overall. Tiana Winn and Anna Eldridge added 12 points each with Eldridge also contributing five rebounds and three assists. Brittanie Brickhouse paced the Grizzlies with seven rebounds and also had 10 points. Randi Harding finished with 10 points and seven assists.
The second quarter saw Butler outscore Tabor 31-5 as Butler went into halftime with a 60-18 lead.
