Volleyball Splits at Home Trimatch
EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler volleyball hosted No. 19 Missouri State West Plains and Kansas Wesleyan’s JV squad for a trimatch at the Power Plant Friday afternoon.

EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler volleyball hosted No. 19 Missouri State West Plains and Kansas Wesleyan's JV squad for a trimatch at the Power Plant Friday afternoon.
Butler (11-11) opened with the No. 19 ranked Grizzlies from West Plains, falling 3-1 (20-25, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25). It was the third matchup of the season between these two squads with West Plains taking the first two in straight set sweeps. Butler was able to win a set this go around but ultimately fell in four.
Sarah Sullivan slammed home a career-high and school-record tying 21 kills on .304 hitting to lead the way for Butler while Raven Boone added 14 kills of her own on .478 hitting as well as five blocks. Anja Milosevic had 45 assists and 14 digs while Laynee Brown also had 14 digs.
Butler closed the afternoon out with a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-18, 25-18) over the KWU Coyotes. Avery DeLong and Sullivan paced Butler with eight kills each while Anja Milosevic and Maggie Miller had five kills.
Butler returns to conference play on Monday, traveling to Dodge City for a 6:30 p.m. match at the Student Activity Center.
