Butler volleyball sophomore outside hitter Sarah Sullivan was named the KJCCC and NJCAA Volleyball Player of the Week, both organizations announced Wednesday.
Sullivan, a sophomore from Henderson, Nev., has led the attack for Butler's offense all season with 229 overall kills (3.09 per set), also averaging 2.14 digs per set.
Sullivan helped the Grizzlies to a 2-1 finish last week including a 3-1 win over Cloud County for the Grizzlies second straight conference win. On the week, Sullivan tallied 4.18 kills per set and hit .343. She also averaged 2.36 digs per set. In a 3-1 loss to MSU-West Plains, Sullivan slammed home a school-record-tying 21 kills on a .304 hitting percentage. She finished with 17 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Cloud County.
On the season, Sullivan has 13 matches of 10 or more digs and had six matches of 10-plus digs.
Sullivan and the Grizzlies return to action on Wednesday evening when Pratt travels to the Power Plant for a 6 p.m. match.
