Butler soccer player Kyrah Klumpp and Norman Massey of the Butler Football team have been selected as the Butler Athletes of the Week, presented by White Eagle Credit Union.

Kyrah Klumpp, Soccer

Kyrah Klumpp ran her record to 11-2-1 on the season with a two big KJCCC victories last week.  Klumpp logged the first 84 minutes at Coffeyville in a 6-1 victory where she saved four of five shots faced.  Klumpp then went on to help the Grizzlies in their best defensive performance of the season, a 1-0 victory over No. 17 Barton County.  Klumpp saved all 11 shots faced in the Grizzlies sixth shutout of the season.  Klumpp's 11 wins on the season is good for second in the entire NJCAA. Klumpp was also voted as the KJCCC Goalkeeper of the week, her fifth time to win that award this season.

Norman Massey, Football

After a huge third quarter 85-yard pick six, Norman Massey has been named this week's Grizzly Athlete of the Week. Massey, a 6-3 linebacker from Wichita, KS, made a huge play that broke the game open for the Grizzlies on Saturday in their 41-24 win over No. 10 Iowa Central. The Wichita East grad picked off Triton quarterback Omarion Bartlet and took it to the house 85-yards for a touchdown. Massey's interception return is the 6th longest interception return for a touchdown in program history. Massey also totaled four tackles on the night in the Grizzlies victory. Massey was also named the KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week.
