#10 Freddie Wallace, Women's Basketball

Jaila Harding, the Butler Grizzlies sophomore guard from Wichita, Kansas and Wichita Southeast Freddie Wallace, the Butler Grizzlies 6’3 freshman forward from Lincoln, Nebraska, was a dominant force this past week for the Grizzlies. Wallace was dominant in the Grizzlies trio of wins this week, posting game averages of 20 points, 8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.3 steals this week. Wallace’s 26-point performance against NW Tech on Wednesday was her second highest scoring mark on a Jayhawk Conference opponent this season and it was her sixth time scoring 25+ points in a game this year. Wallace’s 17-point, 10 rebound double-double on Saturday against Pratt was her sixth double-double of the season. Wallace is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Grizzlies this season, who have now won their eighth straight game and now sit firmly in second place in the Jayhawk Conference.

Wail Bourahli, Men’s Track and Field

Wail Bourahli, the Grizzlies sensational sophomore sprinter from Ras El Oued, Algeria had a record setting performance on the track this week at Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday. Bourahli broke the Butler Community College school record in the 600-meter dash, setting a record time of 1:10.67. His time breaks the previous record of 1:17.19, a record that had stood since 1999.
