Michaela Serrioz began the new year with a new title and role within the Butler Athletic Department as Associate Athletic Director of Compliance. 

She will oversee eligibility and compliance, as well as assisting in advancing support among internal and external stakeholders for the athletic program. While also providing a wide range of assistance to coaches and athletic staff members.  

"It has been a pleasure serving the Butler Athletic Department and the community as the Athletic Secretary the last two years," commented Serrioz, "The experience I have gained thus far has given me the opportunity to form relationships with our athletes and coaching staff that will propel me into the role of Associate Athletic Director. I look forward to continuing to create new relationships within our community and growing our athletic department to be the Home of National Champions." 

Serrioz was hired in May of 2021 as the Athletic Secretary. Prior to joining the team at Butler, she was a volleyball coach at Highland Community College as well as the Athletic Director's Assistant. 

She earned her bachelor's degree from Ottawa University where she also finished out her playing career in volleyball. Michaela graduated with her masters in Sports Administration from Pittsburg State University.
