Handsaker Earns 2nd KJCCC Weekly Honor

Butler softball right-handed pitcher Cheyenne Handsaker was named the KJCCC Pitcher of the Week for a second consecutive week on Tuesday.

Handsaker, a sophomore from Pearl City, IL., was named the week six conference pitcher of the week after a stellar performance in the circle at Pratt. She tossed a complete game in the first game against the Beavers, throwing 7.0 innings and striking out a career-high nine. She earned the win, moving her record to 5-1 this season.

Handsaker joins Butler catcher Cady Dickey as the two Grizzlies to have earned KJCCC Player/Pitcher of the Week awards this season.
