Story by Kalon Fullerton

The Butler Grizzlies earned their eighth straight victory and their third in a span of five days, as they rolled off another big victory, this time earning a sweep of the Pratt Beavers with a 84-56  victory at the Power Plant on Saturday.

It was another double-double for Freddie Wallace, as she finished the contest with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She continued her hot streak for the week, coming off a 17 point performance against Colby and a 26 point game against Northwest Tech on Wednesday. It's her 18th game with 10 or more points and her sixth double-double of the season. Wallace also finished 7-14 from the field with two steals.

Four other Grizzlies reached double digits, as Syncere Harrod finished with 15 points, while Kaylee Nero, J'unti Franklin and Jaila Harding each finished with 10. Butler shot 47 percent as a team, and put in 50 points in the paint as well as 24 points off turnovers, and the Butler bench made big contributions, as the Grizzlies finished with 30 bench points.

It was a dominating night on the glass for Maycee James, as she finished with 12 rebounds, to lead all players. The Grizzlies outrebounded the Beavers by a wide margin, finishing with 53 boards while allowing just 29. Pratt was held to just three second chance points on just eight offensive rebounds. The Grizzlies also forced 18 turnovers, led by Jada Knight's five steals.

The 23rd ranked Grizzlies improve to 18-3 on the year and 13-3 in conference play.. They complete the sweep of the Beavers after earning a 84-75 victory over the Beavers in the Beaver Dome when the two teams met in November. The Grizzlies will look to keep their winning ways going when they host the Coffeyville Red Ravens, hoping to avenge an early season loss against the Ravens.
