Butler football linebacker Demarcious Robinson and volleyball middle blocker Sydney Lentz have been selected as the Butler Grizzly Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 23 through Oct. 29, presented by White Eagle Credit Union.

Demarcious Robinson (Football)

Robinson, a sophomore from Warner Robins, Georgia, flew all around the field in the Grizzlies loss at Coffeyville, leading the defensive unit that held the Red Ravens to just 15 points. Robinson had a career-high tying 10 tackles, four solo and six assists. He also led Butler with a career-high 4 tackles for loss including a sack and a half. He also forced a fumble in the loss. Robinson snuffed out an end around and made a big tackle for loss at the Coffeyville one yard line that later led to a punt.

Sydney Lentz (Volleyball)

Lentz, a sophomore Wichita native, posted double-digit kills in both Grizzly matches on the week. Butler went 2-0 with wins over Dodge City and Seward, improving their win streak to five matches in a row. In the four-set win over Dodge City, Lentz landed 11 kills on .455 hitting while adding five blocks at the net. In the five-set win over Seward on Saturday, Lentz posted a career-high 19 kills on an impressive .581 hitting, also adding six blocks.
