Butler women’s basketball guard Maycee James and cross country runner Adem Bouldjadj have been selected as the Butler Grizzly Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 6 through Nov. 12, presented by White Eagle Credit Union.

Maycee James (Women’s Basketball)

James, a sophomore from Goddard, Kansas, was instrumental in the Grizzlies going 3-0 last week, pushing their record to 4-0 on the year. In a win over Tabor JV, the point guard had five assists, four rebounds and three steals. James had a big game in a 68-61 win at NOC-Enid on Friday, totaling 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals, doing it all for the Grizzlies. She closed the week out with nine points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 90-64 win over NOC-Tonkawa.

Adem Bouldjadj (Cross Country)

Bouldjadj, a sophomore Algeria native, closed the cross country season out with a bang, being named an NJCAA All-American. He placed eighth out of 199 runners, running the 8k in 24:00.50. Bouldjadj helped the Grizzlies to an 11th-place team finish out of 28 men’s squads competing in Huntsville, Alabama. On the season, Bouldjadj was named All-KJCCC, All-Region and an All-American after winning four races this year.
