Grizzlies fall to No. 10 after overtime loss to Snow

After suffering their first loss of the season in an epic 50-49 overtime battle against top-ranked Snow College (UT), the Grizzlies fall two spots in this week's NJCAA National Football Poll.

The Grizzlies are 2-1 on the year with wins over Garden City and Highland wth the lone loss to No. 7 Snow.

"Like I told the guys after the game, this is just week three and there is a lot of football yet to be played," said head coach Brice Vignery. "We will continue to move forward and focus on what we need to this week to try and be 1-0."

Butler will travel to Independence this Saturday for a matchup with the Pirates who picked up a big win last weekend over then No. 11 Coffeyville. Butler has not defeated the Pirates since the 2018 season losing the last three, two of which were on the road.

Hutchinson still leads the KJCCC in the poll at No. 2 with their big overtime win over Iowa Central. Butler is in 10th with Independence moving into the poll to No. 15. Coffeyville dropped from 11th to receiving votes with their 18-3 loss at home to Independence.
