Before Butler: he played at Washburn Rural High School, in Topeka Kan., under coach Todd McAtee.  He also lettered in football one year and all four years in basketball.

Personal: he is the son of Bill and Susan Rowell and has two older siblings, Cale and ty.  While at Butler he is majoring in Business.
