Mark Doyley selected as KJCCC Indoor Track & Field ‘Athlete of the Week’

Mark Doyley becomes the second Grizzly sprinter this indoor season to pick up Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 'Athlete of the Week' honors.

This honor comes after Doyley busted out an NJCAA fastest time of 6.65 in the 60-meter dash on Saturday in Pittsburg, KS at the 5th Annual Gorilla Classic.

The 6.65 time won the meet and set a new meet record at the Gorilla Classic. Doyley is currently the fastest 60-meter runner in the NJCAA this season.

"We all knew he had it in him it was just a matter of when he was going to do it," said head coach Dustin Mettler.

The Grizzlies compete in the Region VI Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend back in Pittsburg, KS, the same track where Doyley popped his 6.65 time.
