Grizzlies compete in first meet of shortened Indoor season

The Butler Indoor Track & Field team got their first taste of competition this past Friday in the Div. I / JUCO Challenge hosted by Washburn University in their new Athletic Indoor facility.

"We had a really good meet in my opinion," commented head coach Dustin Mettler. "We knocked off the yearlong rust everyone had due to COVID. We had some new personal bests, several qualifiers and some facility records. We are gearing up for regionals, but it is a bit tricky to train when it is -5 degrees outside, so our training is getting really creative.

The highlight of the meet was the ten athletes who hit national qualifying marks.
