Butler Women win the meet, Men finish second at Loren Reusser Invitational

It was a great weekend around the track for both the Butler women's and men's programs as they competed at a high level at the Loren Reusser Invitational hosted by Bethel College in Newton, KS Saturday.

The women won the meet scoring 92 total points, 14 points ahead of Cowley who finished in second. Other KJCCC school in attendance were Hutchinson (55), Cloud (41), Neosho (11) and Coffeyville (1). The men finished second place in the meet with 81 points, just seven behind meet winners Indian Hills (88). Other KJCCC schools on the men's side were Cowley (69), Hutchinson (64), Coffeyville (60), Neosho (1).

On the women's side, there were four first place individual finishers and one relay who won their respective events. Three individuals on the men's side won their event as well as one relay.

"I am really happy with how we performed and competed Saturday," said head coach Dustin Mettler. "We are starting to get back into our groove and I am looking forward to the rest of the season with this great group of students and coaches."
