Montgomery named KJCCC 'Pitcher of the Week' for second consecutive week

For the second straight week, Allyson Montgomery, the 5-2 freshman right-handed pitcher from Goddard, KS, was voted as the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 'Pitcher of the Week'.

Montgomery continued her dominant start to the season posting her sixth win of the season and her fifth shutout of the year. Montgomery claimed the win in game two over the Colby Trojans pitching four compete innings allowing just two hits. She walked one and struck out five in the 8-0 win. Montgomery has an ERA of 0.54 this season with 44 strikeouts in her 26.0 innings pitched. 

This is Montgomery's second straight Pitcher of the Week honor and now the Grizzlies have had a total of four KJCCC Player/Pitcher of the week honors named this season.
