Butler unable to capitalize with runner on and lose three of four against Hutchinson

Butler Baseball (9-6, 7-5) lost three of four this past week to the Blue Dragons falling on the road 6-5 and 11-6 on Thursday while splitting in the home double header falling in game one 6-4 and taking game two 12-2.

The Grizzlies had opportunities in all four games and was only able to capitalize and finish in the final game of the series.

Dylan Ritchey picked up the lone win for the Grizzlies on the mound in game four pitching a complete game and solid seven innings. He gave up two runs off of five hits. He walked two and struck out six in the 12-2 win.

Josh Cameron had another solid week at the plate going 9-13 with three doubles and a homerun. He had five RBI's on the week and one stolen base.

Butler falls into a tie for second in the KJCCC West sitting at 7-5 in a tie with Barton and Cloud County. Hutchinson leads the KJCCC West at 9-3.

NEXT UP: Butler will head to Chanute for a 9-inning mid-week matchup with Neosho on Tuesday, March 30. They return home on Wednesday, March 31 for games one and two of four in a series with Colby (9-15, 5-7)
