Lexi Winkle earns KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week for second time this season

For the second time in four weeks, Butler's Lexi Winkle has claimed Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 'Goalkeeper' of the Week honors. 

Winkle, sophomore goalkeeper from Derby, KS, appeared in two games this past week helping the Grizzlies to a 2-0 week with wins over two tough KJCCC opponents. She started and played all 90 minutes in the 1-0 win at #18 Johnson County Wednesday on the road. Winkle recorded a perfect four saves on four shots on goal.

She then came into a 1-1 game against Coffeyville Saturday night in the 49th minute and recorded three saves on three shots on goal and saw the 6th ranked Grizzlies to a 3-1 victory and a place at the top of the KJCCC East standings. 

Winkle is 7-2-0 on the year while logging 693 minutes with a goals against average of 0.91.
