Two blowout conference victories for the Butler soccer team meant they stayed locked in place in the top 10, as they remain sixth in the nation in yesterday's National Poll.
The Grizzlies overall record is 11-2-1 and have won four straight matches. Butler ran right through Neosho at home on Wednesday, winning 4-0 before an impressive wire to wire 3-0 victory against Hutchinson in a battle of the top two teams in the conference. Hutchinson came into the game ranked 17th.
The Blue Dragons dropped two spots but remain in the polls at 19th, and Barton is the third team in the Jayhawk Conference to be ranked this week, as the Cougars come in at 12th.
The only two losses for Adam Hunter's squad came to teams ranked in the top 10, as Seminole State is ranked third and come into the week 11-0. Hill College is also undefeated, and they're ranked just above Butler at fifth after knocking off Butler in overtime last month.
Two other Butler opponents appear in the rankings, as Monroe College remains seventh in the country, while Iowa Western comes in at eighth. The Grizzlies beat both teams to open up the season.
The Grizzlies enter the toughest stretch of their nonconference season, as they travel to face Kansas City Kansas on Wednesday, before a date with Johnson County at home on Saturday.
