After the Grizzlies defeated the Hutchinson Blue Dragons a year ago for the first time since 2002, the Blue Dragons sought their revenge Thursday night with a 3-1 victory over the Grizzlies.

Butler was in the match early and even led in the second set for some time, but Hutchinson finished off the sets stronger and took a quick 2-0 set lead. Hutch won the first set 25-16 and took set two 25-19.

Butler bounced back with a set three 25-17 win to avoid the sweep but would fall 25-12 in the fourth losing the match. 

Sydney Morrow led Butler in kills with eight on the night and added 11 digs. Jaryn Benning and Milayna Hollinger both finished with seven kills each. Benning had 16 digs with two blocks and an ace. Both Lara Sosa and Jessie Nibarger finished with 13 assists apiece. Libero Sydney Hefty had 16 digs in the match.

Butler recorded their second worst hitting % of the season finishing .133 on the night with 14 hitting errors and six serving errors.

Butler will head back to Hutchinson on Saturday, February 20 to play in the Blue Dragon Classic. They face Missouri State University-West Plains at 9:30am and Jefferson College (MO) at 1:30pm from the Sports Arena in Hutchinson, KS.
