Rexroat named KJCCC 'Defensive Player of the Week' after weekend performance

Caitlyn Rexroat picks up KJCCC honors after her opening weekend earning Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 'Defensive Player of the Week' honors.

The sophomore returner from Lansing, KS, was a rock for Butler in the back row as she had a team high 121 digs over the weekend along with a team high nine serving aces. She averaged just over eight digs per set and nearly an ace per set played. Rexroat put the Grizzlies in a good position often, helping Butler to a 3-1 weekend with two wins over NJCAA Top-11 teams. Rexroat crushed her single game dig total from a season ago by 13 digs and is just four aces away from beating last season's total after the first weekend of play.
